Through its various activities, Grain de Blé noticed that many children had no access to regular Biblical teachings. Hence, Bible Clubs, Weekly Telephone Stories, and distribution of Children’s Literature, proved to be very effective tools to follow up the children regularly, and help them grow in their faith.
With the religious
freedom we have in Lebanon, and the good
relationship we have developed with the local villagers and
the schools, Bible Clubs seem to be a very suitable
tool to meet the
children on a regular basis. Many children have no such thing
as an extra curricular activity at school, so their parents
encourage them to attend a Bible club, instead of them spending
their free time playing
in the streets or watching TV.
After Grain de Bles first encounter with children at
a camp or during
a mission in a school, many children have no access to local
Bible teaching churches, and the main need is to follow them
up spiritually, and help them grow in their faith, through
organising Bible Clubs for them.
Grain de Ble also works on organizing Quarterly Bible clubs
in
the remote villages of the children who attend their camps,
and
occasional clubs for children from orphanages & social
institutions
in the Just for Kids centre.
The year 2009 has been really fruitful, regarding the children’s attendance, participation and involvement in the clubs, and regarding the volunteer leaders’ enthusiasm in spreading God’s love.
20 follow-up clubs and 5 sports clubs took place successfully this year reaching 2,779 children in 10 different areas in Lebanon. |

Follow-up
is a vital part of
our ministry; and we strive
to find a way to give the
children an opportunity to
hear the Word of God
regularly and help them to
grow in the knowledge of
God.

“On our way to the school, and before arriving in Deir El Ahmar, we spotted a child walking. To our surprise, that child had planned to walk 3 km to join our program! We gave him a lift,” one of the leaders reported after helping out in a club.
