The Bible
We believe in the divine inspiration and the sovereign authority
of Holy Scripture, consisting of sixty-six books in the Old
and New Testaments, which are the Word of God, free of error
in their original composition.
God
We believe in one God ; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Creator
of the
universe and everything in it.
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, in His perfect divinity and His
eternal
existence, in His virgin birth, His absolute humanity, His
atoning death
in our place, His resurrection and bodily ascension and His
personal,
visible and glorious return.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, His divinity and His personality,
that He is received at the moment of conversion and lives
in all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and in His action
in the church.
Man and sin
We believe that man, created in Gods image, fell and,
as a result, all
of humanity is under Satans domination, living in rebellion,
corruption
and condemnation.
Salvation
We believe in justification by faith alone, through the grace
of God in
Jesus Christ. We believe in thea need for repentance and new
birth,
leading to a life of piety, sanctification, witness and service,
to the glory of God and through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Article 7 : Children
We believe that children are no less concerned with Gods
plan of
salvation than adults and hence need to be allowed and actively
invited into a personal relationship with Christ. We believe
that children in Christ are full members of the Church, the
body of Christ, and deserve our fair attention in matters
of Christian care, teaching and guidance towards complete
maturity in Christ.
The Church
We believe that the universal Church is the gathering of those
redeemed through Jesus Christ, from every land and from every
age, its true unity in its unique Head, Jesus Christ, through
the work of the Holy Spirit. We believe that the local church
is its visible manifestation.
The After Life
We believe in the resurrection of all men; in eternal bliss
for the
redeemed, and in the eternal punishment of unrepentant sinners.
